I loved his music though not a devotee to any particular musician. I was struck by the movie that was out quite briefly at the movie houses outlining the tremendous effort going into the tour he was putting together to ‘save the planet’ just before he died. I realized in that moment just how spiritual his soul is, regardless of all his arrested ‘childlike archetypes’ in his personality.So I downloaded the album from this movie to my iTunes, that includes his reading of his poem that he wrote:"Planet Earth", the work of which are posted below here.
One sunny day my kid and I are driving back into the city and we have this particular MJ album on. The lyrics inspire me ("Beat It", perhaps, but more likely the gorgeous lyrics of “ We are not Alone”. Or, perhaps- “This Is It”). I turn to my daughter ”——, and I say "I have had it with the darkness here.” Are you ready to confront it? …Big Smile. “Ok, let’s go”. I call out to the darkness…”COME ON, COME ON. SHOW YOURSELF.“ as I wave my hands in a ‘come to me’ motion.
And black clouds start to come up massively on the horizon. No kidding- it was real I encourage it to keep coming. I am pissed! As M.J.’s music is blaring…in the background. Then, off to my immediated left, out of the corner of my eye: I see Black Knights rising from their gravesites. “No, no” I say…”Only Light here”. Then, I think, WTH do I know? ”OK, Come on”. Then, off to my left...more... there are more: my own White Knight who currently rides in the inner worlds, comes with a league of White Knights.
Then, again, off to my left, comes thousands and thousands of Lemurians. “Ok then”… I say to the Dark…”Now What are you going to do?"
“My kid has a broad grin.
The Dark quickly recedes out of sight.
“Wow, how cool is this” …I say to my child.
The Power of One (or in this case, two).
My takeaway from this powerful and singular experience is that we each hold within us huge personal power and ability with all of our soul to confront the dark, and then help comes when we ask. It is there for each human spirit. We only have to recognize it.
